Anyone can easily start Nordic walking in any season.
Plus, 5-10 minutes of Nordic walking provides fitness benefits!
Nordic walking developed out of the ski walking used by Nordic skiing athletes to maintain and improve their strength during the summer. It is an easy form of walking exercise using polls.

Hammocks in the Shade

Relax surrounded by a pines as far as the eye can see.
Come unwind for a moment whenever you feel like it.
How would you like to spend some luxurious time taking it easy in the midst of nature?
This is the perfect spot for reading or taking a nap in a refreshing breeze!

Cruising the Pacific

Go for a cruise on the Pacific with the Hyuga-nada Sea stretching out before your eyes.

Twenty first-rate tennis courts where international tournaments are held.
With 16 lit outdoor courts and 4 indoor courts,

Phoenix Bowl Bowling Alley

A spacious bowling alley with 36 lanes and high ceilings!
The reverberation of the balls on hard-to-find wood lanes is a delight.
This is a bowling alley with a roomy atmosphere and brightness that can only be found in a resort area.
The sound of the balls rolling down wood lanes is enchanting.

Area Information

Miyazaki-City Phoenix Zoo

Get up close to as many as 115 species of animas!
There are multiple petting events throughout the day.
You can make many discoveries when you are so close to animals.
The zoo has many events, including widely popular chances to take photos with the elephants!

The Amusement Park

Come enjoy a slightly "reto" mini-amusement park. Even the adults get excited about this one!
This is a mini-amusement park inside the zoo. There are many fun rides for the kids—and adults!

Flowing Pool

During the summer, the Flowing Pool opens up in the Amusement Park!
Now's your chance for an exciting swoosh down the waterslide!
It's not just for swimming. In the 200-meter long giant Flowing Pool
you can have loads of fun. Or, try the waterslide for more excitement!

Sun Beach Hitotsuba

This is a beautifully maintained man-made beach. In the summer,
it turns into a pirate attraction-style adventure beach!
The beautiful 30-meter long Sun Beach Hitotsuba is split into two separate areas:
one for marine sports and one for swimming. Just going for a walk down the boardwalk is exhilarating. In the summer the beach transforms into an exciting adventure beach.

Eda Shrine

Close by is a venerable Shinto shrine with a long history of worshiping the gods that gave birth to Japan.
This Shinto shire with a long and distinguished history—appearing even in the Kojiki, the oldest extant chronicle of Japan—is a site dedicated to Izanagi and Izanami, the deities who bore the Japanese islands and many of its deities and forefathers.

Misogi Pond

This is the pond where, according to Japanese mythology,
Izanagi cleansed himself after returning from the Land of the Dead.
This is the legendary pond where the god Izanagi purified himself after returning from yomi no kuni (the underworld or Land of the Dead). During this rite, he begot Ameterasu (the sun goddess) and other important deities in the Japanese pantheon.

Sumiyoshi Shrine

This is a head shrine for all the shrines in Japan dedicated to the three Sumiyoshi gods of the sea and sailing.
This is the Shinto shrine with a long and venerable history that is said to be the head and original shrine of more than 2,000 shrines across Japan dedicated to the three Sumiyoshi gods of the sea and sailing.

Florante Miyazaki

Here are model gardens and seasonal flowers plus a green lawn on which Tokyo Dome would fit completely.
Right next to Seagaia is a flower lover's dream: overflowing seasonal flowers—the pride of Miyazaki—numerous model gardens divided by type of house, and more.

The 3rd floor of the Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort features a sports gym flooded with light as if you were in a southern country.

Hitotsuba Fitness Club

This is a serious fitness gym equipped with the latest machines, pool, sauna, and more.
Located on the 2nd floor of the Luxze Hitotsuba is fully equipped fitness club, including
gym, heated pool, bath, and sauna.
