Made famous by the Kyushu-Okinawa G8 Summit 2000 Miyazaki Meeting of Foreign Ministers, the World Convention Center Summit is the multipurpose hall for Phoenix Seagaia Resort and stands next to our five-star hotel, the Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort.
With ten meeting spaces, comprised of the 5,000-person capacity Summit Hall, the Special Conference Room (Phoenix Room), four medium-sized conference rooms, and four breakout rooms, Summit can handle a wide variety of events, meetings, and conferences. Housing a Shinto wedding room and a wedding hall, Summit can also be used for wedding ceremonies and receptions. In addition, it is a short walk from the convention center to recreational facilities like the Phoenix Country Club.
The Summit Hall, with an area of approximately 2,603 m2 and a capacity of 5,000 people, is the largest hall of its kind in Japan, making it perfect for anything from exhibitions and lecture meetings to full-scale concerts, fashion shows, and international conventions.
Nothing was spared in creating this luxurious conference room to host the leaders of the world with elegance and respect.
The Special Conference Room is equipped with the most modern facilities, including communication, bilingual simultaneous translation, and audio-visual systems.
The World Convention Center Summit is also equipped with meeting rooms able to accommodate a wide range of needs: four medium-sized conference rooms, each with a capacity of 150-200 people; four breakout rooms, each with a capacity of 60-90 people; and eight Japanese banquet rooms, each with a capacity of 12-100 people.
Surrounded by nature and able to hold over 10,000 people, the outdoor Event Square, located next to the Convention Center Summit, is the ideal location for exhibitions, concerts, sports events, and the like.
Miyazaki Prefecture's first international convention facility, the Miyazaki International Conference Hall stands next to the Sun Hotel Phoenix. With a capacity of over 3,000 people, it can accommodate even very large international conferences.
