Phoenix Seagaia Resort (Miyazaki, Japan; Yasuyuki Maruyama, President and CEO) announces that starting January 1, 2007 that the David Duval Golf Academy, which has been recognized as the number one practice facility by the JGTO, will now be recognized as the Phoenix Golf Academy.
Phoenix Golf Academy showcases a 350-yard, double ended, driving range utilizing actual golf turf and fairway elements enabling all of our guests to work on every aspect of their golf game. The Phoenix Golf Academy also has a multiple practice greens, which can be utilized for putting, chipping and bunker practice. It provides various programs to a broad range of people. Moreover, Phoenix Golf Academy provide our customers with the New School Program of Golf Swing & Fitness, and A Year-long Schooling for Becoming a Pro in the near future.
Phoenix Golf Academy Director of Instruction, Korki Tsurumi, learned golf and English in Scotland and Britain. He is also recognized member of the British PGA. Korki previously taught at the golf academy in Gleneagles Hotel Resort and had worked as a touring professional and teaching professional in Scotland until February 2003. Korki was recognized as the first Japanese to obtain British PGA certification in 2002, which thoroughly complements his extensive knowledge of sports science, body mechanics, strength training and nutritional science.
